Sue you were mentioned LOL

I am not sure if you guys know about(sorry, I still can't get the url thing right in blogspot)

http://themaresnest.wordpress.com/

Not to everyone's taste, but frankly I love it! LOL, 'we', that is the mares, give a witty account of the life that is sims and the 'narcissists' that often frequent the forums. Witty, giving credit where due, and well, showing those for who they are when appropriate.

Anyway, back on topic. Sue! LOL, your Rachel got a mention! Woot!

Here is the link(please can someone tell me how to make the link clickable?)

It's the second post for this page "We have a whim for a LOLSim"

Yay Sue! Lol, your notoriety precedes you.

  1. I would tell you how to make the link clickable if I knew how.
I always click when reading the post in my email because it's clickable there.

For some reason that blog makes me think of Aaron. I think that was the name. The one who had a help sticky before being banned.

  2. LOL well, what do you know.

To be honest, I didn't think it was all that funny a caption, but at least I got mentioned in a positive way instead of being slammed for something. Also proves people are reading my stuff. Our stuff. They had to have gotten there from this group blog, because I didn't link to it from anyplace else.

I made the link clickable for you. Here's what I did: I highlighted the link you had typed, which could have said anything since it was just text. Then clicked where it says "link" up at the top of the edit window. Viola. Now it's a link.

Aaron. Ugh. I'm not a fan. To be fair, she did have some very, very helpful information, so full marks for that.

  3. Worsiedog, check to see if your default edit mode in the post area is html or compose. Compose is the easier one to use. That's where you can find the link option easily.

Links in the comments does require some knowledge of html. And we aren't allowed to put a picture in the comments, just a link to the picture. Links go like < a href="http://myurlhere" > text about the link < /a> without the spaces after the < .

  4. Thanks PiB... I wondered if it was the a href thing, that is how one inserts links in wordpress, but you have to be in html mode to do it.

So the a href thing I can use to add a link in a comment in other words?

  8. Yes if I remember correctly because there have been a few with Sue's name and I think 2 with yours, it was with regard to hunky men.. though that could have been Sue.. but no it was not a nasty reference at all.

  10. *laughs* Oh, man, I had a wicked presentiment, as I was typing that post, that it might just show up on Mares Nest. But I couldn't stop myself. LOL.

If you find the hunky men reference again, I'd love to read it. The Mare's Nest cracks me up, but sometimes I miss things.
