Thanks for the gifts!

I am going through all the emails I missed since Sunday, but I just wanted to post this first before I comment further.

Thanks Sue and Crysamme for gifting me with the goodies! It was completely unexpected and a lovely surprise when I logged in this morning:)

I have a wishlist as I am having problems buying simpoints:( and I wanted to remember what I want to buy when I eventually get it sorted.

For both the cc option as well as the paypal option there is only a US option in the country of origin adress bar thingy:(

SO I can't put in my address properly, I have emailed support but am still waiting for a response of some sort.

THANKS!! Chrysame and Sue :)

  1. Thanks Dee!!!I MEAN!!! OMG.. LOL I am such a dumb BLONDE!!!

LOL must be brain fry o_O

    Sorry about that!

  2. No problem. You've been using that brain a lot. You're welcome.

Now if I could just go to Sue's page and find a wish list.

    Sue, I keep checking.

I didn't have one until Chrysame, sort of, ordered me to make one. I follow orders, sometimes. Someone bought me all that was on the list and I went back and made another one.

I won't say who it was but if that person ever sees this, I want say thank you once again. Your "niceness" is very appreciated.
I want to thank some who give gifts and will probably never see this blog but I'm afraid if I get off topic on the forum, I'll be the one that gets in trouble. Then again, the post would probably be buried before they saw it.

I consider all of you my online friends. I never blogged before now. I never kept up correspondence with people I had not met before now.

  3. uh ... I haven't made one because I can't afford to reciprocate at this time and I hate to receive without giving. *looks down at shoes*

    ReplyDelete
  4. Friends don't have to reciprocate.
Make the list. If you feel you must reciprocate, then we'll worry about that later. I always have so much fun and lots of laughs when reading your blog post that if you post another one, then I'll consider that reciprocating.
I can't believe I had to look at your comment to remember how to spell reciprocate.
I wanted to get you something but didn't want to get you something you already have. I doubt the store will let us know you already have something.
I'm sure EA is loving all the gift giving so much that they will do it again. We all have times when we just can't afford it. I know I do anyway.
Tell me one thing that you have been wanting from the store. Just don't tell me a full set because I can't do that either.

  5. Listen to Dee, Miss Sue. She speaks wisely.

I believe my words to Dee were, "Make that wishlist, Woman!" Dee is just passing that along to you, now. Let me add "Don't make me stop this car, young lady!" and "Do as your told!"

    *hugs*

  6. OMG Chrysame, I said those things to my kids so many times. Only with me it was "young man".

    ReplyDelete
  7. "Don't make me stop this car" ROFL.

Yes, ma'am. I'll have to look at the store; I don't even know what I want. I don't use the store much.

  8. Thanks again to those who gave me gifts. Especially the one who gifted me about half my wish list. That was unexpected and very sweet.

So I added another thing or three and had another friend gift me with a set. Wow.

Yes Sue, do the list. Or else...

I will have to spend money and get a few more points. I like giving, it's fun. :)

  9. I still have points left. I just keep hoping they will add more hair and more stuff for the guys. Our poor guys don't get half the stuff the girls do.

I won't be awake much longer tonight and if I don't see the list tonight, I look for it tomorrow.

    ReplyDelete
  10. Aww thanks, Chrysame. You didn't need to do it twice! I do love the kids' stuff, though.

    ReplyDelete
  11. I still haven't heard from EA about the store:/ So much for response in 24 hours LOL, it's been days

    ReplyDelete
  12. I have a ton of points left over and I love giving gifts. Plus, it was so darn cute. I couldn't help myself.

I do wish there were more cute things for the boys. Especially in toddler clothes.

  13. worsie, We all know how people have been having problems with the store when they are in other countries.
I know how frustrating it can be not to be able to use the store when you want to. I wasn't able to use the one in sims2 because I played on a laptop that wasn't connected. I saw things there that I wanted so bad and couldn't get.

To chrysame, LOL, yes, I took the bribe. Thank you. You'll have your pics tonight.

Is it ok for me to be saying Merry Christmas to to eveyone? I don't know what everyone calls the season anymore. I don't want to offend anyone.

    ReplyDelete
  14. Oh my God, people! I'm kind of overwhelmed. I didn't expect the whole bleepin' list! Thanks, everybody. You guys are great.

Merry Christmas does it just fine for me. Back at ya.

    ReplyDelete
  15. Thanks for the gifts Chrysame and PiB! :)

Still no word from EA:/ It's ridiculous, I guess they away for Thanksgiving?

Merry xmas is fine for me.. my son is 13 and still believes in santa! :)

    ReplyDelete
  16. Now Sue, to 'pay' for the gifts, I expect more storytelling from you. :)

Merry Christmas is fine by me too.

    ReplyDelete
  17. Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, Festivus! Anything is okay with me.

More storytelling! Please and thank you!

    ReplyDelete
  18. Ok then, Merry Christmas then to everyone and to those who celebrate Thanksgiving, Happy Thanksgiving. My Thanksgiving will be Saturday. With the kids grown and married I usually have mine on the weekend. That way they don't have to try to be everywhere in one day and I get them for the entire day. I'm the one who is in another state.

    ReplyDelete
  19. Happy Thanksgiving to those that are celebrating today and to you on Saterday Dee.

Is turkey always a must on this day, or do ppl break away from tradition a bit these days?

Thanks for that outfit Dee, I can't wait to put Jon Lessen in it! LOL

Still no word from EA about my points... I guess the email is blockaged with patch 1.7 issues so mine is not priority:(

    ReplyDelete
  20. I had a feeling that would go straight to Jon.

I'm baking a ham. One of my sons will probably bring a turkey. We usually have both.

    ReplyDelete
  21. We have only ever made turkey once for xmas. LOL, there was so much leftovers though!

Have you any ingenious ways with leftover turkey? I froze some and tried to make a curry later but it did not work out quite right... LOL

    ReplyDelete
  22. Turkey pot pie, turkey and noodles, turkey soup, turkey hash and on and on. Yummy.

    ReplyDelete
  23. I was looking at turkey for xmas again this year but my daughter... was

    "NO, shame man mom!"

LOL, don't know why she takes exception to the turkey if she eats chicken... then again I don't eat duck or ostrich cos they so cute LOL

But the turkey's are quite expensive here unfortunately and we really don't get fresh ones.. we used to but not anymore.

    ReplyDelete
  24. I don't eat duck. Tried and and don't like it.
The only place I've seen an Ostrich here is in a zoo.

We don't have a lot of leftovers. Two teenage grandsons are bottomless pits just like their dad was when he was a teen. For some reason teenage boys are never filled up.

The turkey we do have ends us as turkey salad or just plain turkey for sandwiches.

My family is growing. There will be 10 here to help make the food vanish. I love watching them enjoy what I cook. Makes me feel all warm and fuzzy. They'll take some home with them too.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Thank you worsie. Myra is going to love it. I'm glad to see you got the problem fixed. Did EA help or did you find the fix another way?

    ReplyDelete
  26. No, I am still waiting for a reply from EA, and weirdly my email I sent has vanished but an email I sent in 2008 and one about the forums in september is there.

I found a solution in the store technical issues... apparently where it says language, when you click english it gives you various country options, so that was all I had to do.

    You welcome!

    ReplyDelete
  27. I am so happy for you. Now you can get all those things you've been wanting. I know it gets tiring looking at the same stuff over and over, even though we can recolor now.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Indeed! And after all the patch debacles with installed content I will only be dl sims from this group and no hh anymore either, unless they from here or course.

I also deleted all my lots I dl today just in case there might be dreaded cc in there causting patch issues, though I don't think so.

My daughter is very excited we got some nice clothes... I had bday money from my folks which was just sitting in my acc for ages so I used some of that :)

  29. I wish EA could screen everything that is uploaded to the exchange, but with the quantity of items being uploaded they would probably have to hire 10 people just to do that.
I'm like a crazy person today. I'm running back and forth to house things and here. Talk about multi-tasking.

    ReplyDelete
  30. But us ladies are good at that Dee:)

*hopes grampa is not listening* LOL

    ReplyDelete
  31. :D He's probably with about two dozen people today with that large family he has. By the time he sees this it will be, too late.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Thanks for the gifts, Worsie. I didn't delete the houses I've downloaded (and kept. I'm very picky) but I did go through and delete any sims that weren't created by the group. I have a ton of patterns (from the houses, no doubt) and I deleted any I didn't recognize or didn't like.

I also got rid of a few items that must have come from some of the sims I downloaded because I know I didn't download a dragon tattoo!

  33. PiB - More storytelling - I'm working on it. I promise.

re turkey: In our family turkey is must on Thanksgiving; also mashed potatoes, dressing, gravy, and some kind of veggie. Most of my life we had the same menu for Christmas too, until one year when my mother declared she was sick of it and we'd never have turkey on both holidays again. It took one or two Christmases to iron out the menu, but from then on it was turkey for Thanksgiving and roast beast for Christmas. Really rare and really melt in your mouth, with mashed potatoes and gravy.

re: leftover turkey: We have two family traditions for leftover turkey. The Thanksgiving Sandwich (turkey, dressing, a dab of gravy, cranberry sauce, heated and made into a sandwich.) Regular turkey sandwiches are optional. After there's no more meat on the carcass big enough to make into sandwiches, the scraps get turned into turkey and noodles with homemade noodles. I learned to make them at my grandmother's knee and man are they good.

Thanks again for all the gifts, everybody! They're great. Got worsie's today.

I got a tattoo with a downloaded sim, too. Surprise.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Your menu sounds delish Sue! I am a sucker for rare roast beef, but we have it with yorkshire pudding, rice, gravy, roast potaotes and some veg.

I use a Gordan Ramsay yorkshire pud recipe that makes them rise and get holes in the middle and it is most heavenly to pore some gravy down the middle of that.. *salivates at the thought* LOL

You guys are welcome. My internet has been down since yesterday evening until now:/ Very annoying.

I found my missing email, apparently if I log in to support with worsiedog, I go to an old email addy which I don't have anymore, but if I use my gmail I get to the other account. Weird. I had to email them again as I did not get that free top with the 2000point dl:( LOL, it is 96 hours since my first mail with no reply so I am not holding my breathe.

Most of lots are from anjubee, bennjoon, that australian dude and raphaelninja. I am sure they are safe but I deleted everything anyway as I had also dl some lots from other ppl and I thought better to be safe than sorry for now.

I also deleted all the sims other than from this group.

Apparently Chrysame one can get custom content when dl a hh from the exchange. It does not seem to happen with single sims, but only with households. The dress that Mom Eee has on I discovered is from a hh like that, but it has the SW3 icon in it so I am not sure if it is ok or not?

  35. So I finally got an automated response from the 4 or 5 emails I have sent to customer support regarding the issues with buying simpoints.

    Not really helpful is it?
