I've just been setting all my blogs, including this one to use feedburner for the feeds. I have no idea if it will be the same, better or worse. If anyone has feedback, please let me know.
Would anyone have objections to me setting this blog to using adsense?
Not sure what that would change, really; I know Amelia and I got bombarded with posts from Sammy on our feedreaders the other day, but I got his last update just the same as usual so I doubt what you did has any effect on the other feed readers access the RSS feed of the blog.

ReplyDeleteOddly enough, I only switched to using feedburner redirect for Sammy this morning so that must have been some other glitch.
Still, I hate it when a service glitches. :(
Personally, I'm a bit ambivalent towards adsense as well. My mom wants me to use it to make money, but I'm a bit iffy towards it because I don't really know if I want to make money off of my blog/whether or not I'd get the traffic for it/whether or not I'd want to subject readers to annoying ads/whether or not I actually want to put in the work involved in applying.

thanks for the reply. The other of my blogs do have adsense, but I keep it *way* down on the page, where I hope it doesn't interfere too much.

ReplyDeleteIt didn't help that somehow I mucked up and used the Hi mum feed for two blogs, not just the Hi Mum one. That is sorted.
Ahhhh! Yeah. That's probably the issue right there, PiB. What happened on mine is that I got like, a 'duplicate' of the Hi Mum It's Sammy feed, got a bazillion posts from it... So I just deleted the feed.
ReplyDeleteTurns out it was the SV blog. XD Oops. So that's probably what's happening to Amelia... She's re-getting all the old posts because they're registering from a different feed. GG, PiB. ;)
