Day 19 - One thing you would change about the game

From my point of view, I'd love it if the game were more challenging to play. A few of the tombs are difficult, if you use the World Adventures. A few of the careers in Ambitions are difficult.

But for the every day stuff. A parent never has to fetch a bottle for a baby, no dirty diapers, no bathing the baby/toddler. The fridge never runs out of base food. A Sim never has to buy clothes or a cell phone. In Sims 2, my just aged to teens always got to celebrate by going to a shop and buying a phone and new clothes. I miss some of that.

  1. I'm not sure. I like not having to do so much of the everyday tedium. I'll think about this. It's a good question. I like more options, always more options, the ability to have endless skin tones, an easier way to nuke CC, a game that doesn't bloat.

    I'll think about it...

  2. I'm with Chrysame; I do like a bit more realism in some respects, but I have a shelf full of "challenging" games I can play if I want something difficult to play. The Sims is my sandbox/dollhouse/daydream fantasy. I spend more time in Camera mode just watching my sims than I do playing it as if it were a goal-oriented game.

Granted, you bring up a lot of things I miss, like going to the store to pick up groceries and clothes and such; not because it was a 'challenge', but because it was a fun thing to send my sims out to do, to run into and meet people... I could really go for that in Sims 3!

  3. True enough, you guys bring up good points.

And god knows, if they ever brought back University, I'd hope that they'd make that less of a pain. Cause it got really really tedious after you knew everything they could do.

A few more places they could socialise, like real shops would be nice. :)

  4. Maybe the one thing that had me banging my head against the wall more than anything else is that tombs in WA don't reset. I was so excited about making my own tombs/puzzles/mazes, but there's simply no point at all when you can only ever play it once in a game, with one sim out of the whole neighborhood. It destroyed WA for me. It could have been an outstanding EP, but with zero replay value, it's just a huge disappointment.
