blogger adds another feature

I suddenly realised this afternoon that I have a new blogger tab in *all* my blogs. Stats. You get a stat page like the Google Analytics without specifically signing up and creating an analytics account.

I know you don't need to install analytics because this blog has a stats tab and I've never made an analytics profile for this blog. Nice to have the stats right here, no popping to a different place.

  1. I have just noticed it. The Analytics looks good, but I haven't found a way to see the cities.

  2. Oooh, cool! I'll have to keep my eye out for any widgets that come out that use the data. I think it's cool that it shows all the data from the creation of the blog, too. Very neat.

  3. Hey Kaleeko,

All time stats aren't really all time. I went to the graph for my longest running Sims 3 blog and the graph starts in July 2010. Then I went to my ancient pre Sims blog and that's the same. So not really stats from the creation of the blog but stats from the last two months.

MJ, I think that it takes a real Google Analytics account to see the cities. This stats page is more a summary.

  4. Frankly, I wished I didn't know about the stats. You really do see who is reading and who isn't. It can be depressing.

  5. Chrysame, I know that feeling very well. When I was maintaining pibweb.com actively, stats about what was visited could be really really depressing. It's been awhile since I actively did anything there so it worries me less. I should get back to it someday.

I've yet to work out what the stats for the various blogs should be but while they are active, they do seem to slowly gain an audience.
