Call for families

I don't know if I'll ever quite get this world to a usable stage but I'm currently slowly developing Rflong's Longview.

I quite like the world, it has several 'districts' with many many lots to fill. There are a 1/2 dozen near the military base. There's a lot of lots in two different areas and a scattering of lots elsewhere. Including a few select lots near a little beach cove.

But it's empty, and I can dump every Sim I have in the bin without coming close to filling it. So if you feel inclined to make a family or three - I can certainly use them. :) From baby to elder - all life stages to make it feel like a town.

I won't promise that you'll ever see them, but if the town does get to a usable stage, it might be a backdrop for Sammy stories.

  1. PiB, do you have any issues with household downloads? Is there anything we should avoid including on our sims?

  2. Probably just avoid store content - that might be problematic.

I did download the first version of the Kane family successfully so it does work some of the time at least.

  3. By the time I get around to turning the game on again you'll probably already have all you need. If you still need them when I fire it up I could upload one or two.
Those CAW towns are supposed to start spawning some sims too. I just don't know how long it takes for that to happen.

  4. Hey Dee,

No hurry, I'm planning on setting this neighborhood up over several weekends - an hour here, an hour there. First I need to add a lot more homes. As I add Sims (eventually), I'll want to set some of them to be at least partly through their careers. It's going to take time.

  5. Maybe this weekend I can go into CAS and make a brand new family since they gave us that option. I can make them with no store stuff. It might be easier than trying to upload a family that already exist.

  8. Cool. I'll take them down then.

I have an idea for a group to put up. Not a family so much as a housemates. I'll work on that later.

  9. One more group for you, PiB. Housemates, two sets of siblings, the Boards and the Shores.

Dash Board and his sister Sora Board.
Rocky Shores and his sister, Sandy.
Sandy and Dash are boyfriend/girlfriend. I gave them traits and color choices that matched their names.

  10. Thanks Chrysame, I'll pick them up tonight. I won't be adding them to Longview until the weekend when I have time to concentrate.

And thanks to everyone for ad clicking last month - it was a very good month because of that!

  12. Hey Chrysame, I did get and install Shore and Board.

I'll probably be throwing a few more sims and houses into longview later today. :)

First let's see if I can get Jack's challenge to play out the way I want...

  13. Hey PiB, I put up the North family. Reed, Lakshmi and Michale. I also made a family for you called the Whitted family. Both were loaded as households. See if you can download them. If you can't I will try again. The North family was uploaded as they are in the game. The Whitted family says it has store content. It should not have any store content. I was going to make the teen boy a young adult son and couldn't, so changed him to a teen. As a young adult he started with store content that I changed but the exchange still shows those things he had as a young adult before I changed him.

Let me know. Hope you can download them.

  15. I'm so glad they worked. I was worried when I saw store content listed.
