Just a few questions, each Sim/trait related:
1. Of all the Sims that you've created/had born in your game, which is your favorite, and why?
2. What's a kind of Sim that you'd like to try out, but haven't gotten around to creating yet?
3. Is there any trait that you avoid/never use? Why?
4. If you could Simify yourself and be transported into the Sim universe, which Sims would you first want to meet? What Sims would you avoid?
PiB added:
5. What are your favorite lifetime wishes for a Sim?
6. What kind of career do you like?
7. What do you hope to accomplish from one of your EPs that you haven't done yet?
As a starter, here's Kaleeko's answers:
1. Favorite Sim?
I've got about 3 Sims right now that I absolutely adore, but I think I'm going to have to hand it to Jebidiah Kane as my favorite. He's the kind of guy that's rather pleasant on the outside but absolutely poisonous on the inside -- he rarely shows his evilness, and he seems to love his family to no end, but there's just something always 'off' about him. He kind of reminds me of what it would be like if an evil nerd took over the universe. He's also probably the least predictable of my Sims, which means he's a huge catalyst for my story; I wouldn't be anywhere without him.
Jeb is also, quite obviously, the main character of my blog; Brad takes a close second, but Jeb's still the King Cheese.
2. What would you like to try out?
No Kane has ever had the 'Green Thumb' trait, so that's something I'd like to try out someday in sort of a Freebird-Hippy type of Sim.Also, while I've had a Bookworm sim before, I'd really like to have one again.
3. What trait do you never use?
Aside from all the 'little' traits that are mostly useless, I think the BIG one I terminally avoid, despite how obviously awesome it would be, is "Insane"; it's an incredibly interesting and story-changing trait, but I just can't bring myself to use it.4. You are a Sim; who do you meet, who do you avoid?
Well, first Sim I'd want to meet hands-down is my own Bradley Kane, just to give the darn boy a hug. But, I honestly think that of all the Sims out there in our blogs, the Sim I'd most get along with would be Rosaline from MJ's blog, because she is an absolute sweetheart. She's the kinda girl I'd love to hang around. Though, I think PiB's Thomas and Chrysame's Gwen would also make fantastic pals.Sims I would avoid? Dee's Carolina and Raisin's Katalina. I'm pretty sure they would both scare the bejesus out of me, since in-person I am a very timid, shy gal. Also, the Big-Hat lady from MJ's story, because she's... well, creepy; Cheezy's Angie because she would eat me for dinner; and Meredith from my blog, because she would drive me absolutely bonkers.
There's obviously more, but those are the ones that immediately strike me off the top of my head. :)
There's my answers! Feel free to be equally as long winded as me, moreso, or less so! I just like hearing opinions like these from other people, because it'd be fun to see how we all differ in our Sim-Tastes. :)
Feel free to tack on any other questions you might be curious about, too.
Have fun! Happy holidays! Whee!
1. Of all the Sims that you've created/had born in your game, which is your favorite, and why?
ReplyDeleteThere are several that are near and dear but the winner must be the much loved and much abused Sam Grant.
Sam has risen to many challenges at this point. Tackled careers that suit his personality and don't suit at all. He's ... Sam and he has just worked out.
2. What's a kind of Sim that you'd like to try out, but haven't gotten around to creating yet?
I do want to make a playboy/flirt. But so far I haven't quite got the combination of traits right - must need to add Commitment Issues.
3. Is there any trait that you avoid/never use? Why?
I tend not to pick any of the traits that make Sims unsocial or hard to socialise - insane, loner, inappropriate. I should do them from time to time - for varieties sake.
4. If you could Simify yourself and be transported into the Sim universe, which Sims would you first want to meet? What Sims would you avoid?
oppps, I want to post what I have but it's time to leave for work. I'll continue later...sides the meet and avoid is tough.
These are hard questions.
ReplyDelete1. Of all the Sims that you've created/had born in your game, which is your favorite, and why?
Alicia Longshore. If I leave her alone, I never know what I will come back to. I've had her disappear for a few days and re-appear married, living with and pregnant when she already had a baby with someone else.
I've had her move to other houses after I spent a lot of time fixing her house up.
I've known her to desert her romantic interest whom she had a baby with and up and marry someone else.
I've known her to get involved with a homeless sim. had a baby by him and he had the baby. She's always full of surprises.
2. What's a kind of Sim that you'd like to try out, but haven't gotten around to creating yet?
Can't think of any off hand.
3. Is there any trait that you avoid/never use? Why?
Green thumb: I tried it in the beginning and found it boring. Loner: I tried it with Cassidy and didn't like it.
4. If you could Simify yourself and be transported into the Sim universe, which Sims would you first want to meet? What Sims would you avoid?
Jon Lessen. He's my all time favorite townie.
I would avoid Nick Alto because I would end up in prison for killing him. :)
Oh my,I've just read this. I will be back again to take this survey. I must leave now...
ReplyDeleteWhich Sims to meet - I like Kaleeko's list - give Brad a big hug, Thomas and Gwen. And then Dave from MJ's firefighter story (he seems so very sweet), Dee's Ben, Chrysame's Ollie.
ReplyDeleteAvoid - Jeb and Sam are to be admired from afar in a nice big room. They would both worry me at close range for different reasons. I can't think of a single Sim from Chrysame that I'd avoid - maybe Marta in wrench mode. Dee - Caroline North would give off such bad vibes.
New questions
5. What are your favorite lifetime wishes for a Sim?
6. What kind of career do you like?
7. What do you hope to accomplish from one of your EPs that you haven't done yet?
My answers to the new questions
5. I like the wishes that take some work but are possible in a normal Sim lifespan.
6. I like my Sims to have either rabbithole careers or independent employment - the ambition careers take a lot of concentration - or the ones I've tried do.
7. Too many things that I haven't tried yet but mean to. I've done enough with World Adventures to feel that I've explored that well but there is a ton of Ambitions and Late Night that I haven't even tried yet.
Ooo, good questions, PiB.
ReplyDelete5. What are your favorite lifetime wishes for a Sim?
I honestly like the simpler ones a little better (maxing skills/rabbithole careers) because if I have more difficult goals it distracts me from things I'd rather be doing with my Sims. There are manymanymany I haven't done yet, and it may take me a while to get to them because of that. However, one of these days I'd like to do something a little different so I don't seem lazy.
I don't even buy many of the lifetime rewards except for Steel Bladder, Inappropriate but in a Good Way, and Observant; anything else makes things too easy with Relativity running.
6. What kind of career do you like?
I looooooooooove the self-employed careers. Not the "Professions", but the skill careers. I don't like having Sims bound by specific work hours, but I like to still be able to leave them doing a specific task that doesn't require a lot of maintanence from me so I can focus on other Sims.
7. What do you hope to accomplish from one of your EPs that you haven't done yet?
Hmm... Let's see. 1: Haven't done Firefighter or Ghosthunter career, 2: Haven't finished all the tombs in France, 3: Haven't made a Simbot.
There's a lot from LN I haven't done either, but it's still really new, so I won't list that stuff.
There's a lot of Base Game stuff I haven't done, either. Some rabbit hole careers, some LTW's... I take my time, though, because I love spreading out all the new experiences.
BTW -- I love your guys' answers to #4. ^^ I agree, PiB, Marta and her wrench = pretty darn scary.
ReplyDeleteI haven't finished all the tombs in any of the locations. Indiana Sam did a fine job but he didn't see everything - hence Phillip getting fired the other week. It didn't help that Sam found and retrieved the Axe - which disappeared from his inventory after he'd only used it like 3 times. So there are still boulders to crack in every location - I should cheat to give Phillip the family heirloom since it's probably still gone from the original location in China.
ReplyDelete5. What are your favorite lifetime wishes for a Sim?
ReplyDeleteI don't think I have a favorite. I'm fickle. :)
6. What kind of career do you like?
That changes. Most of the time I prefer the work at home sims. I always enjoy trying out the new ones when EP's are released but then want to go back to working from home.
7. What do you hope to accomplish from one of your EPs that you haven't done yet?
This is not from a specific EP.
Stay with a sim from being very poor to being very rich. I always get bored with them before they get rich.
1. Of all the Sims that you've created/had born in your game, which is your favorite, and why?
ReplyDeleteThe Tomasi Girls, Marta, Ripley and Georgia. Sentimental favorite is Marta. I believe she's my best made in CAS sim. Ripley can be so unexpectedly fiesty. I shudder to think what she'd be like with the actual hot-headed trait. Georgia never fails to amuse me. Even in the bin she facing to the side with her nose in the air.
2. What's a kind of Sim that you'd like to try out, but haven't gotten around to creating yet? Evil.
3. Is there any trait that you avoid/never use? Why? Hot headed and mean spirited. They just don't appeal to me. I like having a few NPCs around with those traits just to spice things up but I don't want to play them.
4. If you could Simify yourself and be transported into the Sim universe, which Sims would you first want to meet? What Sims would you avoid? Marta would be a hoot. I'd invite Gwen and Jack Grant over for dinner to get them away from the kids. They're such a nice couple. I would not like to meet Jon Marsh. I'd be all in his face about the commitment issues deal. Then, I'd decide I really liked him and couldn't he see I was the one?! Then, he'd break my sim heart. It would not be pretty.
PiB added:
5. What are your favorite lifetime wishes for a Sim? Career based ones for the most part. Some are ridiculously easy like surrounded by friends, family or the riches ltw.
6. What kind of career do you like? Rabbitholes and skill based careers. Send one to work and stay home with the skill based sim and get stuff done. I loved the firefighter career but I couldn't keep up with it after my sim had a family.
7. What do you hope to accomplish from one of your EPs that you haven't done yet? Lots and whole bunches! There are still skills I haven't mastered (photography, nectar making). I still haven't fully explored Bridgeport. There's just a lot to do in this game.
Adding a question.
8. What trait do you enjoy that is a little off the beaten path?
Loner. It's wonderful for a sim who writes or paints for a living or even an angler. I feel so bad for them at parties when they get the little TOO MANY PEOPLE!!! bubble. Even going to school can be a challenge for them. Poor little sims.
Oo, I forgot about Jack Grant, Chrysame. I'd probably want to be buddies with him too. Also, I have a feeling I'd be pulled into Jon Marsh's little web of lovers, so -- 'Avoid' sticker on him, too.
ReplyDeleteGood question!
8. What trait do you enjoy that is a little off the beaten path?
No Sense of Humor, hands down. At first I absolutely hated it, but now I love it. Puts non-friends to sleep, has some really neat unique socials, and almost *never* runs low on the fun bar. The only annoying thing about it is that it's really hard for other sims learn as a 4/5th trait.
Insane. I love that trait for some reason.
ReplyDeleteOh, Chrysame reminded me that I'd like to meet Indiana Sam's brood.
ReplyDeleteLaura to let her know that Chance needed a better parent and his dad did have the excuse of hates children.
Indy - have a chat with a handsome sweet Sim guy.
Jack - Same as Indy. He was such a dear.
Rick - poor poor Rick - he needs a hug and an apology for that witch of a wife. And a promise that life is better for him somewhere.
Henry - needs an apology for impatience. He needed longer for Cindy to get interested.
Chrysame's new question -
Neurotic. I love those little worry warts. They are just so cute.
1. A sim that haven't been published before. A hopeless romantic guy with shy trait, clumsiness and no luck at all. He likes to read in every minutes of his life, often forgot where he put his glasses, and dreams to become a director. Second would be Josephine Rosenburgh (maybe because of her past)
ReplyDelete2. Loser. I haven't tried that one.
3.Childish and Mean Spirited. I like sims with childish trait, but whenever I have that trait in my household, my game experienced a glitch. Mean Spirited because they are just love to fight (even though I have them as part of the storytelling).
4.Jon Lessen :) I want to meet a rock star like him and then knock his head for stealing Gwen from Daniel. I want to give Brad a hug. I want to see Indy, Alicia Longshore, and Marta & Wyatt as a couple.
Avoid: some antagonists in my story, mostly the one you haven't seen yet.
5. Have five children, Mad Scientist, Have a perfect garden.
6.Firefighter, Ghost Hunter.
7. Having vampires household. It's pretty challenging especially if their needs are getting lower very quickly. I have one, but he died.
8. Loner + unlucky. I just love to add some mix in the household like the mother is a party animal, inappropriate, insane, but family oriented, while her teenage daughter is a loner, unlucky, and hopeless romantic. Hmm, shouldn't it be the otherwise? I don't think so, her mother would get a heart attack if the otherwise.
