I changed the name of the blog "liferebelstyle" to the one above so now you can't get to the twinbrook blog through the old link. Sorry if it causes problems for anyone. I didn't know it was going to be such a hassle.
The story is about my new sim Sarah Bradley. Right now I'm just plain frustrated.
I'm glad you didn't delete the old rebel posts. I might want to read them again sometime.

I should mention that I found a nice area to put several more lots. It's on the side of the river near the stadium. I put three decent sized lots on one side + one one the river side of the road.
ReplyDeleteSo far I haven't made any changes to the town. I just moved pre-mades out of the shacks so I could put our sims into them.
ReplyDeleteI am already planning to add some bookcases to the library because I can't find the skill books there and she can't afford to buy books. I'll decide later about any other changes. I noticed a little house behind the consignment store where sims can go and do the woohoo if they want to go somewhere besides home. :)
Thank you for telling me that PiB. I was looking around for spots to place more lots and houses on and didn't see that area.
That's where I've put a good majority of my new lots too, Dee. By the stadium, and up on the dirt road "loop" in the swamp area that doesn't have any houses on it. It's not quite flat, but the terrain is manageable.
ReplyDeleteI would offer my improved "Beach" in Twinbrook (because I think I made it much, much better), but it makes heavy use of World Adventures stuff and so it probably wouldn't work well for you, Dee.
Gonna make sure to add that one to my blog list, I think I wasn't following it because it hadn't been updated in a while or something.
Alas, I still don't have WA but thank you for the offer. I may never have it. I'll probably wait until I get in the mood to send them on a vacation.

Right now I think I need to go sleep so I can get up in the morning. Got all hyped up trying to get everything straightened out.
It's a bit confusing, yeah. :) I'm glad I was able to change the name of my page though, I went through about 6 different titles/urls before I finally settled on mine.
ReplyDeleteYou're not missing that much, in regards to WA. It's a great EP, but most of the use I get out of it is the additional outfits, items, and skills. I rarely ever go to vacation destinations anymore. There just really isn't much to do outside of adventuring, and it doesn't suit many of my Sims.
Hope you can sleep well, Dee. :) I think I'm actually going to pass out early too, I really wanted to get something written tonight but I keep staring at my screenshots and going, "Uuuhhh... hrm." Writer's block, you stink.

ReplyDeleteGet WA on sale. Then it's worth it. The clothes are great as are the objects. And it great fun to go on vacation once in a while. Ollie was insanely fun tomb raiding.
My next project is to figure out how to make a custom header for my blog. So far I'm batting zero.
Ooh, I think it's on sale at the EA store right now, actually. But, it may be even lower over time. Heck, some of the sets in the Store have been more expensive than how much it costs right now.
ReplyDeleteWell Chrysame, one way to get a header is to go, "Hey, Kaleeko, wanna help me make a header?" They're pretty simple, and I do like doing stuff like that. ;)
I do like WA. I love the clothes and objects. Some of my families do holidays and others don't.

ReplyDeletePicasa is great for effects and minor editing, but it's not that great for making webpage elements, because you can't really add text or resize/crop to exact pixel measurements. I usually do that on Photoshop.
If you want me to make you something, I'd love to. All you'd need to do is give me an idea of what you want, and send me any screenshots you want in it. Also, if you go to the design page and hit 'Edit' on the Header element, it should say how many pixels wide it needs to be. I'd need that, too. But yeah. It's easy for me to do... I made mine in less than 10 minutes. :P
Also: Dee, someday, you should get WA. Maybe not soon or anything, but it is a fun amount of content. To be honest, I would've bought the EP just for the Photography skill. It is really, really cool.

Still... I think it's probably going to be the least-favorite of the EPs. With Late Night around the corner...
I may just wait for Late Night. I may still get it someday but not right now. I'm still trying to get through the new professions. I'll start getting bored someday and end up getting it.
