I have very strange things happening. I have sims being cloned. I have many sims aging to adult and ending up with the same hairstyle. Men and women. They are aging into the hair style Alicia used to have. I saw a sim one day in the park who was pregnant. The next day I saw her at the bistro, old. I knew I saw her from edit town view in her house with an old man but she was adult age and still pregnant at the same time she was at the bistro old. She also had the same hairstyle. One of the males aged to adult and now has the balding hairstyle.
My game has gone crazy. I don't know what to do. I've never had any of these things happen before.
Am I going to have to start over again?
Do you use any mod, Dee? Wow that is surely weird...

That's strange! I've never heard of those things happening. I know I've had daughters age up with their mother's hairstyle, but nothing widespread. I've also never seen/heard of clones showing up. Did you get the latest update? If so, do you think that has anything to do with it?
ReplyDeleteI did get the latest update but that was when it was first released. I've played a lot since then and this just happened today.

I am wondering if moving the sims in there houses from SV ro Riverview could have had something to do with it.
I don't want to start over. I'm tired of starting over.
oh ok. lol I've deleted so many games it's ridiculous & I wasn't even having problems with them. But I know what you mean. I'd hate to start over with sims I've invested some time in. Believe it or not, I have a couple of games left that have at least 2 generations ;)

ReplyDeleteTomorrow I'll start the game up and go into the clone houses before I delete them. I want to make sure I'm not deleting Alicia's friends.
I've checked my installed content folder.
If I can't get it fixed I'll just have to start over. I'll use the same sims. I'll, :D, fix the guys hair first and see if starting a new game fixes it.

ReplyDeleteI had noticed something else that I had not thought about in a long time.
Sometimes sims in the friend list used to have a pic of a strange man instead of the sim. Later the pic would go back to normal. I remember seeing on the forum that other people had that too.
A few sim days ago, a man showed up in the park with the same face. I forget what his name was. Only saw him that one time. That's when I remembered seeing that face in sims list before. I thought it was a little odd.
I know this game is not lacking where sims are concerned. I never deleted any, and it still moves sims in. It has had a few move away.
I still want to post about some of the things I have had happen but I may have to clean out the sim bin of the new sims I downloaded.
Sorry everyone. I really thought I would be able to keep this one going.

Hey I have some REALLY annoying glitches, all the babies my sims have, end up having a black or white arm. It's never their skin color. And when I say black I mean like pitch black and totally white. Also, all the kids I have, are like extremely demented. Their arms are flying above their head, and they don't really have a head, and they are really tall, and their legs are all over the place. They also have no eyes. It is really annoying cause I want to see my sim ): can anyone help me??

ReplyDeleteI know I have to delete the new cas project, but where it says type, do I delete everything that says cas part even if the object is like eyeshadow or something??
P.S. I am new here. I've had the sims 3 for maybe 8 months. I also have the sims 2 for pc but sims 3 for mac.

ReplyDeleteI really don't know about deleting the other things. I usually do, but then I don't use cc at all. I acquire things when I download stuff and go through that installed download section a lot to make sure I get rid of all that stuff that causes problems.
ReplyDeleteThe following helps on pc but I don't know about on mac. I only have it for pc.
I go into "my documents". I click on the EA folder. Then the sims3 folder. You will see 4 cache.package files. You can delete those.
Right click on each one and then click delete.
CASpartcache
compositorcache
scriptcache
simcompositorcache
New ones will be made the next time you start the game.
I hope someone else will step in here who knows more about all this than I do.

Hey, I deleted everything called new cas project (not the type) and all the things it said too, but my sim toddler is still really messed up! can anyone help? has anyone like had this problem and been able to fix it??
ReplyDeleteI have seen others post on the forum about the same thing happening and I believe they got it fixed but don't know exactly how.
ReplyDeleteI wish I could help more. I do know they said it had to do with either something they downloaded from the exchange or bad third party custom content. There are just so many bad things out there and a lot of it is coming from the exchange.
I really do wish I could help or someone would see this be able to help.
I know there is a program that Chrysame uses to check things and make sure they are okay. Maybe she will see this and tell you what it is and where to get it.
