The Genetics Game

I finally got things back on track in my game. New baby Mara and a few changes.  In this game, Michael Bachelor hasn't died, Buster Clavell did die and another Townsend toddler died. Poor Tyler.  I had Mara v.1 saved in my bin as a toddler so I compared her as a young adult to Mara v.2.  Note:  I changed Mara v.2 hair color as it was a light reddish blonde.  A pretty color but it didn't work for Marta and Wyatt's daughter.

    Interesting the two different versions. Amazing how the game changes gameplay, now all it need to do is learn to change gameplay without stuffing up our save game LOL

    Gosh, the difference is shocking considering most of the major facial features are the same.

    Geez, poor Tyler.

    Off topic: I don't seem to be getting update notices from the group blog, although I'm still a follower. Anybody know what I may have messed up?

    While I think both versions are beautiful there's something about Mara v.1 that is very compelling. When I look at their pictures, its her that I'm most drawn to.

    Wow, she's really pretty there. I'll post her pics tonight, I think. I believe Myra as a teen will be in the next group of pics.
    I like version 1 the best. Maybe mine will look like version 1 when she ages to YA. Right now she has a very square face. Where her nose meets her forehead is very deep and there's something about her eyes that just don't seem right. The short hair I gave her hides her jawline a little.
    My Myra has really black hair.

    I'm sad I lost the first Mara but at least I have her saved as a toddler in my bin so I can play that version in another game. And at least I didn't lose the entire game! I'm satisfied with version two. She's Marta's and Wyatt's baby girl and that's all I need. I still wish she had Wyatt's eyes. His eyes are killer.

    The two versions don't even look related to me. I think the only feature they share is the mouth which is Wyatt's.

    I just love the shape of the eyes. Myra's mouth as a teen doesn't have that little dip in the upper lip. Her's is just straight. Anyway, I like both of them but I too love the way the blue eyes seem to bore into you.

    Gonna go see if I can post those pics now.

    Yay for new pics! I didn't bother to see what they looked like as teens so it's very possible that one or both versions didn't look as pretty.

    I am still dumbfounded that the two versions are so different. You should have seen my face today when I aged NuMara to toddler and saw the light red blonde hair. I believe I immediately said, "How in the...?"

    I may be going against the flow here but I can easily believe that the two of them are sisters. Mara v1 inherited a few more of her dad's features. Mara v2 takes a bit more after mom. The hairstyles accentuate the differences in the head shape but their eye shapes, cheek structure and mouths are both very similar.

    Mara v1 wins hands down on pretty eye colour though.

    To me the eye shape is different. The mouths are indeed identical. Those blue eyes are killer. In real life I'm a sucker for gray eyes. Dee got that blue eye color so intense on Wyatt and it looks incredible on a female Sim. And it still looks natural.

    Good news my little chickadees, by the next update, Laura Grant will be a child (birthday party in progress) and Indy Grant is already a toddler. Plus Rachel is very round...but that's not a surprise is it? LOL

    I can imagine when you saw the light color hair. I would been staring at the screen dumbfounded.

    I got lucky on the eye color. I was trying for a blue that would be the first thing people noticed about him and it worked.

    Too me the face shapes, nose and of course eye color are different, but I don't really see a difference in the shape of the eyes. Marta and Wyatt both have eyes that slant.
